The American Express Headquarters is situated in the heart of Sydney's central business district, at 1 Bligh Street. The building boasts a range of sustainable and unique features, including a double-skin facade, blackwater recycling, a central atrium, energy generation systems, solar panels, and it hosts Australia's largest green wall on the ground floor.

In the reception area, you'll find a bespoke reception desk crafted from marble slab and timber battens. The blue veins in the marble harmoniously complement the American Express logo and branding. Vertical timber battens create a striking contrast with the diagonally laid marble, inspired by the 'A' in the logo. The walls and ceilings in the reception area are adorned with jarrah timber battens that extend into the waiting area. Suspended from the ceiling above the reception desks are frosted glass sepher pendant lights. Adjacent to the reception, you'll find the waiting area, furnished with Coco Republic furniture and golden sconce lights that beautifully complement the jarrah timber battens. The waiting area also features a bespoke planter box, constructed using the same jarrah timber and black powder-coated steel, creating a separation from the rest of the office.

The conference room is equipped with charcoal acoustic paneling, which serves both aesthetic and functional purposes. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the room with natural light, and it retains the same frosted glass pendants from the reception, suspended above the custom Nomi gathering table. The Andor black leather office chairs provide comfort and style, ideal for conference meetings in this space.

There are two small meeting rooms in the office, designed for quick check-ins and smaller meetings that don't require the conference room. To prevent them from feeling claustrophobic, glass is used at the entry, creating a more open atmosphere. The rounded walls feature oak acoustic paneling, serving both aesthetic and functional purposes. A custom table made from blackbutt timber is complemented by Forty Four chairs by Krost, upholstered in the signature blue material to align with the American Express branding.

The executive office is located at the back center of the office, offering a central vantage point to oversee the hot-desking area. The office is furnished with functional office furniture from Krost and aesthetic pieces from Coco Republic, including blue armchairs and a coffee table, suitable for casual meetings or discussions in the executive office. The office benefits from an abundance of natural light due to its floor-to-ceiling windows.

In summary, the American Express Headquarters project seamlessly blends functionality with aesthetics, featuring sleek modern design and subtle branding with occasional pops of blue.
